Benedetto Maola

We are searching for additional information on Benedetto Maola (born 23 Jan 1881). He was married to Filomena Niro on 29 May 1899 in Casalvieri, Italy. Benedetto and Filomena had three children – Florina, Annunziata, and Adaligisa Maola (25 Nov 1913 - 12 Jun 2001).

Benedetto came to the United States three separate times – in 1901, 1909 and 1913. However, after 1913, he never returned to his wife and children in Italy. Originally, he lived in Benwood, West Virginia. In 1909, he apparently resided with his brother-in-law Francesco Polsinelli. Then, in 1913, records show Benedetto moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he lived for a time with his brother-in-law Benvenieri Permachi (possibly Pennacchia). To the best of our knowledge, Benedetto was also known as Ben Maola and-or Ben Marlo and died in Chicago, Illinois on January 28, 1925. At the time, he lived at 9222 S. Normal Ave., Chicago, Illinois.
